The "What Life is Like Now" mental model is done in Module 2 of Getting Ahead. On the left side of the page is Angela's dream world, where she can contribute to charities and her kids' college fund. She has two more children and a husband who loves her and is a good dad. They have a house, don’t need any agencies, and she has her own business.
In her reality she is just a number—GH0977—she is chained and in jail and can't seem to get free. There are people laughing at her because she is stuck.
